Times are tough all over. Sink or swim, as they say. We are at the best time, aren’t we? I don’t know. I will keep walking in the endless alley.

Despite life’s adversities, an artist remains eternal in his Eden, renewing himself like his creations. His immersion is not escaping, but evocation.

Said Goethe: ‘In der Beschränkung zeigt sich erst der Meister’.

‘Working within limits shows the master’. Limits are the very condition of any art. They are style. I have a question: where could all things also be made new again? If over time, the media will devalue the Christian foundation of love and forgiveness? In this life even healed wounds leave a small reminder of their degradation.

_I ask: If I like to express the operations of the spirit through the disfigured human form, will art be the best form to translate that’s limitations?

One possible reply: we can achieve a satisfying outlook on things during our entire life. But never feel like we have finished the work and reached the target.

Also, the details must figured out, and driven by the intended big picture. Or will have many questions to ask, and many frontiers to cross. And more spaces to paint on your intellectual and emotional canvas! Art never expresses anything but itself. It has an independent life, just as Thought has, and develops purely on its lines.

_So true, doesn’t dust come out of the sculpture? Of all paintings a dark turpentine? All things made residues. The residues return, they insist, perseveres, arriving nearer and nearer. The rust of man is the passing of time, navigating the space between resignation and hope. So I’ll keep walking at the end of the alley.
